About:  This piece was commissioned for the Guerilla Composer Guild’s first collaborative instrumental project in April 2013. After being selected as one of six composers, I was assigned to write for two players using snare drum, bass drum, glockenspiel, triangle, and two unpitched gongs. Following a creative slump, this piece was written mostly in one night. The result is this group of distilled miniatures, exploring different moods, forms, and combinations of timbre. My goal for this work was clarity of thought within this distinct instrumentation.
