About: This is the fourth set of short pieces I’ve written based on my own recorded piano improvisations. I’m trying to decide if these moments—crystalized in an audio file, from a sunny afternoon years ago, or a quiet midnight this summer, now revisited and warmed into life on the page—if these are a reflection of my life, or a retreat from it. What I’m finding is that how I write my music, not how much or how often I write, is what lends it value. These little pieces mean something to me, so I hope you can find them meaningful too.
