About:  For my first string quartet, I wanted to write something of simple beauty.  In three movements, the melodies are almost folk-like. The first movement gathers steam towards a unison pizzicato chord. Launching into the second movement, the strings weave in and out of tonic centers by way of ostinato patterns. The final movement is a somber reflection of this short musical journey.
