New Commission from Denver's East High School

I'm excited to officially announce that I have been commissioned by Dorothy Pino to write a new work for the Concert Band at East High School in Denver!  The work will be premiered in March, 2015.

Dorothy is a friend and colleague from college, where we played in the Symphonic Winds together.  I've never written for band before, so we'll see what I come up with!  

Also, East High School has some beautiful history and architecture, which may serve as some inspiration for the piece.

ILBT to Premiere New Work Dec. 13th

Excited to announce that the International Low Brass Trio has set a date for the premiere of a new work they have commissioned.  The concert will be December 13th and is part of 7th Avenue Performances' 12th season.  My work will be performed along with other premieres by local composer colleagues.

String Quartet Wins 2nd Place in Abundant Silence Publishing's Contest

My String Quartet No. 1, written in 2008, won 2nd place in Abundant Silence Publishing's composition contest.  The prize includes a performance and recording in January 2015 in Denver, as well as publication through the company.
